Do I have to pay for damaged property that was accidentally broken?

So, today at work I accidentally knocked one of our sales tablets off the counter and the screen got cracked. Now my manager is telling me (with a smile!) that it's no big deal, the replacement cost will just come out of my quarterly bonus. I don't even think I should be paying for it. It's a business asset so therefore it should be a business liability, no? Tablets are something that break often, and I don't think the way I broke it was especially negligent. Does anyone have any input on this at all? I live in Ontario, Canada if that gives a clearer picture.
