I had a heated discussion with my father about how there are more billionaires than ever in the US but we have some of the worst conditions for the working class for a first world country.
I told him, do you realize how much is a billion over a million? Is there enough time in a human lifetime to realistically spend Elon musk amounts of money?
I told him if you received $10,000 everyday for 70 years it wouldn't come close to 1 billion dollars. That would be more money than I could spend in a life. So why is it acceptable that billionaires can take so much for themselves, while destroying the middle and lower class in the US? He just basically said he couldn't comprehend that but wouldn't ever approve of legislation that limits what someone could make.
We need to tax the ultra rich to hell and fund teachers more America.
