Literally is always a topic of discussion or one of the first things someone asks me at a family gathering. “Hows work?”
I try to be as short with it as possible “It's great, how about you?”. I really don't like going into detail. I'll admit I think at one point was because I was not making all that much (47k) compared to my wife and even a few peers within my family, but even now that I have a much better job and much higher salary, I still usually just avoid any discussions involving work. I feel like it's always the same conversation either way.
It's not that I dislike my job. I actually enjoy it, but I'm here for a good time. I deal with work 40 hours a week, so excuse me if I would rather discuss about something else. Probably half the reason I still have not gone to a high school reunion and never will lol.
