Does anyone else’s boss walk around with hundreds or thousands of dollars in cash on them all the time, even if the business doesn’t really deal in cash transactions?

The worst job I ever worked for had a boss like this. I handled the sales and transactions, and 99% of them were via credit card or cheque – We didn't even have a cash register or petty cash! Yet my boss always had a giant stack of $20s and $100s in his wallet. He had a high school kid working after school that he paid in cash. One day the kid came in and said one of the $100 bills he was given was fake. My boss was like “How could that be?/?/!!11!!!” I don't know if shady shit was going on, but it always strikes me as shady when people have way too much cash on them when they don't need it to run a business.
