Does it ever get better??

I'm lower middle class, maybe, and it seems our society is hell bent on keeping us in a cycle of misery. Expenses add up, and the money my SO and I make is just never enough. First my car broke, I had to get a 'new' one. It needs a few more parts I cannot afford, and it has to be registered. It's been on the driveway sitting for some time and now code enforcement is going to fine me as well. Our central AC broke, and with 99° weather we just couldn't go without it. So there's thousands of dollars we had to borrow. Our dryer broke so we've been washing clothes and hanging them in front of fans, and draped across chairs to dry them.

I can't remember the last time we took a full trip to the grocery store, and most days we just don't eat.

Now my SO's vehicle is having severe issues.
Does it ever end? Will we ever get caught up? I'm at my wits end. I want to take the easy way out of it all because the stress is getting to me.

This just seems impossible.
We have good jobs, and I work alot of hours, but with so many things breaking we just never have enough for even our basic needs.

What the hell are we supposed to do…
