I work remotely which is the only nice thing about this situation, and just started a new job at a new company. My line manager is a 1 hour time zone behind and sends me messages / emails past 5pm. She also references every communication in her time zone. I get it, I’d do the same – but I’m unsure if she is fully aware that her 4:30pm is my 5:30 and I literally need to get out of my house or else I’ll go nuts after sitting there all day. Is it really the expectation to work an extra hour if my boss is 1 hour behind me?
