Does this place really help/support anyone?

I understand that everyone here is against the system and want to stick to the man but their so many people here and the place is so popular I feel it’s engineered to be place where disgruntled workers come to cope. I’ve been homeless a for a few months but I’ve never really suffered because I was still working. I cut my hours by a lot and got jobs that I can work independently and at my own leisure. I actually preferred living this way until I found a job that was worth having a place for. I was able to pull away from the system far enough to focus on me and what I wanted. I didn’t need to work every day and if I was in a bad mood I could call off early and focus on me. I’m not saying be homeless but maybe having your own place isn’t worth the job you have now. Maybe the to have these luxuries isn’t as important to you as you think. Maybe you’re happiness and dreams are more important that you’re rent/electricity.
