(I still tip at my local restaurants just because I don't want spit in my food.)
But when I'm out and about in places I won't visit again, I never tip no matter the quality of the service. It's a hard thing to neglect sometimes, but I'm convinced that it will turn more people to our cause in the long run. It's just one of those things that make people see how fucked their situation is.
Imagine being at your lowest, doing a demeaning job that only exists because people like being served their food instead of getting it from the kitchen themselves, not even earning a minimum wage, and then some stingy dick tourist refuses to tip you?
Man, I know I'd be daydreaming about revolution.
It is accelerationism. The capitalist system must collapse sooner, before it had time to stabilise itself by morphing into fascism, and the way that happens is to make workers angry.
And honestly, making them realise their suffering through little things like this is far, far easier than enlightening them about Marxist theory (which they will find on their own by becoming radicalised).
Edit: (I won't read your replies because there are annoying liberals on this sub, but feel free to discuss this among yourselves.)
