They were literally brainwashed from childhood (by humans other than themselves) to associate their human identity, their sense of Self, their worth, their sense of purpose, with their “chosen” form of wage slavery.
For many of them, it’s all they have. They don’t have any real interests, pursuits or passions. For men with families, wage slavery might be their only form contributing to their families. Again, they have been brainwashed to believe this is acceptable.
There are just people. I repeat, there are just people. This variety of people just happens to have Stockholm Syndrome. When we attack the fucked up thing we call “work”, understand that these folk perceive it to be a direct attack on their fragile human identity.
If you can wrap your head around this, you might be less like inclined to despise conservatives, but instead pity them. There are just people. They are being fucked over too, they just don’t see it that way. Let’s avoid pawn vs pawn.
