Don’t want to pay me? Ok I’ll leave for twice my salary.

I’ve been with the same company since I graduated college 6 years ago. I quickly learned my trade, and even won an award from the CEO for my aptitude. I run additional committees to improve our work practice, developed the position in my office from the ground up to make it perfect for my office team specifically. I am needed in office since I am a team player and people run into my office to help with their jobs and also since I’m tech savvy and act as in office IT sometimes. Well, at least a promotion would come with more pay?? Sure- 20 cents more/hour for significantly more responsibility and management. I recently inquired at several other companies for my same role and I’m leaving- they’re offering double my current salary. I feel awful for my coworkers who I do genuinely enjoy, but management and compensation I can’t wait until they sweat.
