I just started a few weeks ago. I’m a pumping mother and I’m only given 1 break when I have to eat lunch AND pump (all within 30 minutes.) Also, today I got yelled because right before I clocked in I was in the front by the counter sending a text (something I can’t do in the kitchen) and one of the managers goes “OP what do you need?!?!” Like it was 30 seconds before I could clock in and no one was at the counter. Also, I came I two hours earlier than scheduled (my 3rd 12 hour in a row) and they wouldn’t let me leave until exactly 12 hours later (I asked for 30 minutes earlier than that). And three of the managers left leaving me and one other person in the kitchen. This was 7 hours into my shift and I hadn’t had a break. The only reason I got a lunch was because it started storming and that killed our lunch rush. I didn’t even bother pumping. They wanna control everything “tuck your shirt in, wear a hat, don’t get a drink of water if it’s busy (which sucks when a rush is lasting hours and I’m the only one making burgers.” And then the assholes can’t even give a meal to their employees. They give us a 50% discount and we can’t even use that and then leave, no we have to eat it at the store. I swear I’ve never worked at a place that treats their employees like robot as much as Burger King. Working 12 hours in the summer heat of Missouri is not worth $12 an hour.
