There are people who are psychologically incapable of functioning in the marketplace. Left-wing workerism always reveals itself to be fundamentally pro-capitalist on this point – one must “pull one's weight” etc. Meanwhile, here is what Marx says about the “dignity of labor”:
Thus, while the refugee serfs only wished to be free to develop and assert those conditions of existence which were already there, and hence, in the end, only arrived at free labour, the proletarians, iif they are to assert themselves as individuals, will have to abolish the very condition of their existence hitherto (which has, moreover, been that of all society up to the present), namely, labour.
The left-wing workerist who identifies with his work demands the NEET ” pull his weight” and suck corporate cock like he does. Anything else would be unfair, unlike the system of work, which is perfectly fair in our Just World. The NEET is the ultimate villain, not the CEO.
All theories (bourgeois, fascist, Stalinist, Labourite, left-wing, or far-leftist) which somehow glorify and praise the proletariat as it is and claim for it the positive role of defending values and regenerating society, are anti-revolutionary.
- Giles Dauvé
Proles aren't gods because they are proles. They will be forced by circumstance to become more NEET-like.
