Fuck drug tests. I worked for a company through out the pandemic and got let go once things started to get back to 'normal'. I was making 25k per annum when I got fired.
I applied for 100+ jobs and got an offer with a rail company for 35k but a mandatory drug test was included. I stopped smoking weed for 35 days and still failed the bloody drug test.
It lead to a small bout of depression and ended up with my parents preaching constantly 'as long as you smoke weed your never going to make good money'. This played on my mind for some time! . Safe to say I started smoking again and Carried on applying.
I landed another job offer contracting at 75k per annum and its wfh! I've just finished my sixth month and I just wanted to say failing that drug test is the best thing that ever happend to me.
If anyone else is offered a job where it asks to you to change your hobbies or alter your lifestyle; stuff it if thats the cost.
This will be one of those few times where I'm glad I didn't listen to my parents. Let the good times roll.
