Dragging staff back to the office is not the answer

My company's CEO announced that we will be shifting back to the office from a remote to a hybrid format because there have been problems with staff keeping up with the work to support our expansion. He reminded everyone that we are fortunate to be working for a stable company. He also mentioned that we have health insurance. With our expansion, the company is paying top salaries to attract sales talent and giving everyone else meager raises. Sales staff and leadership got 3 luxury trips this year. Everyone else go a cheap lunch and a plastic water bottle. Everyone is burned out with the extra work. We are having trouble hiring people to take up the slack. All our competitors are remote. Forcing people back into the office will only cause more people to leave. I can't wrap my mind around the stupidity.
