My job has been intensely stressful for so long. More tasks expected than any one person could possibly do. Not enough pay to get by where I have to live to commute. My department head has decided they want to fire me and is building a case out of bullshit. They can't fire me, the union will defend me, but the job is so stressful now with everything I do scrutinized and criticized. I'm so stressed all the time. I don't have enough energy at night to apply to other jobs. I look at job postings and just feel like I'm so burned out I couldn't even do another job, even a better one. I'm out of vacation days even though I haven't taken many. I don't know what to do. The choice seems to be homelessness or dying of stress.
