Empathy for those who HAVE to work!

I quit the workforce last September, due to severe mental health issues and current housing issues. I'm fortunate to live in the UK and have access to disability benefits/other benefits (the disability ones won't last forever). I will eventually be forced to work part time, to survive in this capitalist society. It's very unfair, we cannot “choose” to work and live free / off grid. Not saying the 21st century doesn't have perks but the idea of the stone ages, or a “village” “third world” life, living in a hut does not sound bad at all. Work life is basically a death sentence, particularly for the poor and working class. I've seen documentaries of Americans that have to live in their cars AND work full time. My heart bleeds. Cost of living is rising in all countries. What kind of world is this? Do the rich forget, they need the…

If only the working and poor class, all decided to just quit and strike simultaneously. Things would have to change yet the system has people chained. It really is a rat race.
