I work in Arizona, my mom was in the hospital and I called out of work saying simply I wasn’t able to come in. When I was dealing with everything going on they called me back and demanded I give them more information otherwise my absence wouldn’t be excused. I tried googling it but it’s apparently too specific. Does anyone know if this is legal or violates HIPAA?
