Hey guys just thought I'd give my two cents and rant a little on the interwebs about my situation. I've given it a bit more thought and wondering if all these posts on here where just a bunch of cry babies and whiners, but the fact of the matter is that we are left to fiend for ourselves and that is no secret. I somewhat believe that we can attain a somewhat “dream job” in life, but when there is toxicity, abuse, and general and blatant lying from a job, how do you expect an employee to hold themselves.
Now I will have to admit, this particular job that I had did provide a good amount of income (it was good tips pretty much) and that gave them, well at least the leverage of neglecting (and performing) our 10 min breaks, mass surveillance (cameras everywhere probably mics too idk though.) , and those closed door pep talks that just go over how you are being a good little employee you are. I always made sure to always improve and be the very best and top performer in this particular job and yet, it all meant they would still choose to lie about my reason for termination (if it was justified in the first place of course).
With little doubt I was getting stressed out and a bit more on the edge than normal as the fucking economy, covid, and the fucking state of affairs are mainly a god dam shitshow in our nation (and I'm still pushing with my higher education and occupational goals.) I didn't let it get to me on the professional level when it came to problem solving with others willing.
RANT ALERT I don't give a fuck about your free food and fucking small bonus at the end of the fucking year, IRONICALLY SPEAKING this way makes it sound like I actually did do the acts that were listed in that document.
I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I WAS TOLD BY MANAGMENT THAT APPERENTLY “SOMEBODY” (WHO COULD IT BE IDK SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE ME) ALEDGEDLY HEARD ME SAY “FUCK THIS PLACE” I WISH IT WERE TRUE BECAUSE I WOULD'VE LOVED TO POST THAT SHIT ON THE GODDAM INTERNET. I also said if you want me to go home that is fine just let me know when you want me to show up next time (they said we'll let you know next week; NAIL IN THE COFFIN I WZ SURE AT THE TIME)
Of course they (management and HR) provided no real proof and all nod there heads. The fact of the matter is that they perhaps didn't like some of the things that I had said when I was in the office for a “pep talk”, which were the most moderate and sleepy joe comments (LETS ALL WORK TOGETHER BETTER) that I knew wouldn't take too much offense to them BUT IT DIDNT MATTER AND THEY LIED ABOUT IT ANYWAY WTF.
It feels like if I just when full on rage mode it would've ended in the same result (which is getting terminated or let go). To restate, I always did my job and made sure everyone would be on the same page, and let me tell you something, that it was a stressful environment, and the culture from our (okay I'll say it) “servers” is that they yell at us if we are doing something they don't like. NO ONE BATS AN EYE! I don't talk back when I know shit is hitting the fan out there.
I WILL ALSO NOTE THE PLACE I WAS AT WAS ALWAYS BUSY PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS
I guess I just wanted to vent and I've thought about this garbage situation, well I've moved on from it at least and was able to at least save like a mad man during that year I was there, but I wonder how you guys feel or think about this situation, I know for a fact the management at that place was toxic to pretty much everyone (they made sure to always perform take something away and if you get a complement from a customer you don't get shit.) I heard a few more horror stories from people (pretty much everyone in the building funny enough) not being generally well respected and lied to about certain things as well.
I never really felt respected there it is sad that I had given all my strength to be a good employee, only to be BS'ed in the end. I'm worried about the future of our generations man real talk. I've been black pilled (or red pilled) when it comes to management like many others.
