Been out of work for the past six months. I'm currently in the process of trying to get something lined up so I have income.
I submitted an application for a dispatcher for an HVAC company since I have a lot of office, and call center experience. Submitted the application after determining it could possibly be a good fit. I received a text message from a recruiter asking when I can talk on the phone, and agreed to call me today at 11:00 AM.
Her response:
11:00 AM rolls around, and I never get a call. I send her this message after waiting for over half an hour.
Didn't respond due to not wanting to engage in an unproductive conversation. I was also already feeling pretty thankful that I dodged a Super Mario Bros. sized bullet. Her response was such blatant BS, because she had texted me originally. The only way her response works is if her “computer” was her cell phone, and it was having issues. Even then though, I guess she couldn't be bothered to send me another text explaining this earlier, and asking to reschedule. I guess that would've made too much sense?
The hilarious part: The job posting. I went back and saw this 1st paragraph specifically and couldn't help but laugh.
