I'm on probation currently. My last employer and I split on good terms. I was a contracter.
I was sick for a few days from getting a kidney stone and had surgery to remove it.
I had a total of 4 unpaid sick days (non consecutively)
Employer asked for a doctors note, I had no problem providing one, but then was told it was for a fee.
I would have no problem paying it, if I was paid for my days off. But I wasnt. I told this to my manager and was given the shaft.
Considering looking for another job.
