Throwaway account so I won't be hunted down. Also I apologize for formatting I'm on mobile.
I work at a small business fast food place in Tennessee. We get paid an hourly wage along with a credit tip pool that is split between us based on hours we've worked and cash tips that are split between us at the end of every shift.
On multiple occasions when they've counted the cash drawer down at the end of the night if it's been under they've taken directly from our cash tips (which is never many. Think like $3 for each person is considered a good shift) to cover it.
Is this illegal? It feels illegal. If it is, is there someone we can report it to?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I figured y'all might know something.
