Employer using payroll schedule cut off to not pay overtime

In the last 7 days back to back, totaling 52 hours. “Technically” I didn’t work 52 hours that “week” because 7/30-8/5 was included on last payroll. Our payroll starts on Saturday. I’m sure it’s not uncommon, but I feel like they’re deliberately trying to skirt paying overtime even though they made me work Monday to Sunday.
