I have recently contracted Covid through my partner who I share an apartment with who got it from his mother.
My symptoms have been severe and I tested positive on my test, so I told my employer about this. Unfortunately since I recently started my job in the past month, I have very little sick time accumulated and the company just recently stopped its Covid pay.
I feel so miserable with my life. It’s been so hard to find a job that wants to give you more than like 30 hours/wk, and the pay is still only $13/hr which is surprisingly high for retail jobs in my area. I just feel so defeated and I don’t know how I’m going to cover being off work for 5 days (thankfully only like 3 because of my originally scheduled off days) and it just sucks.
