One thing that pisses me off about modern working times is that employers do not encourage or want creative employees who think outside the box.
They'll act like they want someone who thinks outside the box but the reality is they just want ideas that will push their own agenda.
If you are the creative type, you will suffer in the corporate world. Hell, even creative agencies don't want employees who are too creative and im speaking from experience. They want someone who will churn out the product like a machine. This is boring as hell to a creative.
I just feel like the world is so fucked. We need creative people to push the boundaries and keep us moving forward. If we keep beating to the drum of a select few of those in charge, change will never happen and society will eventually eat your company for breakfast.
Traditionalism is safe. It's known. But becoming stagnant is a sure way to fail. If you've been doing the same thing for 20 years your time will come. Society will eventually overrun you.
No one ever succeeded by staying within the 4 walls of their home. You have to do something scary. You have to take a risk.
The more that fail, the better. Make room for progressive companies who understand this basic concept and can actually value their employee's free thinking and perspectives.
