Employers should post salary ranges on job postings!

Anyone else frustrated by this? Employers need to ditch the mentality of choosing a job you love, and if you really want the job, you’ll accept the pay they offer because they offer “fair” or “competitive” compensation. Those tag lines are arbitrary. I need numbers. Salary matters! Salary transparency indicates that you value the people you hire, and that you pay everyone fairly. How much money I can earn absolutely helps me decide on which jobs to apply to or not. I have applied to jobs with slightly lower salaries because I was excited about the position, but if I can’t pay my rent, it doesn’t matter how great the company or position is.
