I have worked for the company I'm at for over fifteen years now. Since 2012, I have been in a formal Employment Agreement with them. I was in a position at that time where I was able to write the agreement myself. I feel like the original agreement was more than fair.
The company has hired a lawyer to draft this new agreement. Many aspects of the new agreement seem extremely vague, or broad, to me. I am willing to enter into a new agreement, but I definitely won't sign until I'm sure that it is better than my current agreement. I already had one meeting with them where I raised concerns about the new agreement and I just received a 2nd draft as a result of that meeting.
I am wondering where the best option is to look for help on this. Any employment lawyers out there willing to help? I can pay, but I've heard lawyers come at great expense. Any help is appreciated!
