Due to “not enough orders and fired specifically because we don't know when we will open again”
Co-worker is acting like they either know something I don't or are in a complete denial of the fact that this is it. If the company was actually considering hiring us back at some point they would've just done a lay-off, which I asked for but the answer was no. “Boss wants everyone fired at the end of the year”.
Best part? They're firing us all but still wanted someone to come and heat the place during winter, which would also include keeping the road clean off snow. I laughed at them and said we all need to find new jobs, no one will have time to do that.
Also them needlessly doubling the prices this year is why we had fewer orders. I say needlessly because while expenses have risen everywhere, it did not warrant a 100% increase to our prices.
Smh.
