So today I received a SMS informing me that starting today I am required to install and use an app provided by the company in order to be able to see my shift.
Previously I would receive an email with a pdf attached, which is ideal as I can access that by all my devices and easily store the shift file on the cloud for archiving purposes.
Now they want everyone to install a proprietary app that allows us to see our shifts and clock in and out. No fucking way this is going to happen on my personal phone.
So far I texted my manager and informed that I cannot install the app, his reply was “fine for now, we’ll see in the future”. Yeah fucker, we’ll see.
I’ll eventually tell that my phone is too old or that I have no memory left, but would love to hear suggestions about other excuses I can make up. Eventually they will give up as them cheap asses will never give me a company phone lol
