Evaluating if I have to report my former Director (Uk Based)

So, I recently left this horrifying job. It was good the first few months. The Director is a mastermind of manipulation. He likes to create some sort of distort friendships with the new people and weaponise them against any “senior” or expert and so on. This is a company with sale people in the shops and an Head Office. Those are all the illegal shit I witness: -Shouting, screaming and punching desk when someone makes a mistake (even people who were there for 1 or 2 days) -Belittle, mock and use horrifying nicknames against people for unknown reason. (level of professionalism is 0) -Told people in senior position that there is always a way to fire people in vulnerable categories. (He fired a person with eye sight issue because she once typed some weird word on an email. The person requested some help to set up some kind of automated…

So, I recently left this horrifying job. It was good the first few months.

The Director is a mastermind of manipulation. He likes to create some sort of distort friendships with the new people and weaponise them against any “senior” or expert and so on.

This is a company with sale people in the shops and an Head Office.

Those are all the illegal shit I witness:

-Shouting, screaming and punching desk when someone makes a mistake (even people who were there for 1 or 2 days)

-Belittle, mock and use horrifying nicknames against people for unknown reason. (level of professionalism is 0)

-Told people in senior position that there is always a way to fire people in vulnerable categories. (He fired a person with eye sight issue because she once typed some weird word on an email. The person requested some help to set up some kind of automated reponse to the more common questions from customer so she doesn't have to type every time. Request denied. I worked off the clock for her, but next day she was fired. He fired a lady because pregnant. She got pregnant after 7 months in the job.)

-Resisted to install any type of HR so at least things can be recorded. He refused.

-He fired the Finance Controller after 1 months, because the guy had the “audacity” to tell him that high turnover, no training and constant recruitment of not qualified people are bad for the growth of the company and that FC usually don't do basic HR stuff (Like on boarding people from WH for example) He told everybody in the business that FC was having an affair with a lady in the office. (defamation)

-He throw a water bottle to another employee, landed on her chest and proceed to shout at me for leaving the room (I was the witness) and call me names for telling him that it's assault. Told if I go, he withhold my pay check for a mistake I made and cost him big bucks. (I did made a mistake that cost him but I was overworked and working 3 different email inbox as people kept leaving and I had to jump to things that are not mine/my specialisation.)

-When I put my notice, boss went to tell everyone that I stole money from the company.

-He wrote me a formal letter (received at home at the end of my notice) saying that they would give me “an honest and truthful reference” and “they would not omit any of my behaviour at work” including “my distate of wearing business attire”. (This was the only fight I won. He wants people dressed in suit, in an office with no interaction with external people and “compensation” from him. Why I should wear heels or buy stuff, if Joe from E-Commerce and Sue from Accounts are the only people there, why he cares. it's not a fucking fashion show. I wore trousers, sweater or cardigan but flats and clean sneakers. He wore a fake Steve Jobs attire, with big rapper-trainers.) The letter was signed by the PA. (another horrible human being).

-I was mentally unstable and slept for weeks as my body was exhausted. I started to apply and got a job just recently. I got an email from the PA saying that they would love to welcoming me back and sent an Indeed job listing where the pay is lower and signed as “we truly spent time and energy to train you (False, I had to learn it myself) the least you can do it's join the company and work for us.”

Since I left, 3 other people went off. 2 key people from Transport and one person from C/S. A lot of ex-employee had the same experience and reach out to me. I am happy to had left, I got a new job, less stressful and something I really want to do. Yes, I have to face few weeks of money-issues before I start and get paid, but I prefer living off beans that coming back to them.

But I think the Director and his buddy PA (can you believe she is only 27 and so nasty?) deserves a visit from the government or something. Surely in UK there is a way to alert/report stuff.
