I put my two weeks in at the electrical contractor I was working at. Everyone was pretty excited because they all get a raise when someone quits. So my last week they mention that they already got their raises. I start getting everyone to tell me what they got and where they were at before, which is a pretty big deal because we’re in a rural part of the state. People started getting pissed when I told them they need at least a 9 percent raise or they’re making less money than last year. One of the guys I work with called me the other day after I left to tell me everyone threw a big fit and said they were all gonna quit. They all got a lot bigger raises. I’m happy I helped the workers a little at least in my short time there.
