Every week we get emails from HR and the CEO about Covid protocols. The big one is wearing a mask around the office. But it's not just limited to open areas, you also have to wear one all day at your desk, even if no one is around. The company also requires all employees to be vaccinated and boostered.
But the C-Suite people walk around all day with no masks. The company is great and I feel taken care of, but this is something that has rubbed me the wrong way from day 1. For instance, I've never seen the CEO wearing a mask. But I've only seen my team leader maskless a handful of times when we were outside or eating together.
This isn't the worst thing in the world, but it just feels weird and dystopian to me. I'm relatively new, so I wonder what other ways this kind of hypocrisy is present in my company.
