Excuse some vague details, but It used to be a really nice, chill environment. Tbh it was a pretty top quality place with respectable payment terms, and ways customers could feel like we actually had their best interest in mind at the time. Things have changed from the top to the bottom in the last couple of years.
Corporate hands down new, nonsense, system updates and guidelines seemingly every other week that end up making people's jobs harder while somehow also screwing up customer relations with account reps. Meanwhile, someone here was promoted to AM, but doesn't know how to manage.
By that I mean that they handle things only by yelling, not listening to anyone, and stepping on toes and being hypocritical. No matter the situation, they dial it up to a 10. Even the other managers dislike it.
For these reasons and other personal frustrations pertaining to my role at the dealership, I'm leaving soon. The real kicker is to hear these same reasons echoed by my coworkers in different departments than mine. It really put it into perspective what a bad place it's become to work here. Let's just say a good chunk of people here are freshening up their indeed resumes.
We've always met our monthly goals and did our jobs. Now it just feels like corporate and the store wants to make us as uncomfortable as possible with petty mismanagement, and corporate not understanding how smoothly things would work on the store level if they stopped trying to “innovate.”
Anyway, I know this was jumbled, but I wanted to rant a bit.
