Eviction Moratorium was a terrible idea

Many small landlords lost their properties due to non-paying tenants (and housing assistance came too late if it came at all) while landlords still had to pay insurance/mortgage/tax/repairs. Guess who came in? the same large scale landlords that pushed for eviction moratorium (Blackstone, KKR etc.) knowing the law would push small landlords out. With only large landlords remaining in many markets, they are now raising rents by 50% in some cases.
