Ex colleague (and friend) finally quit after finding out the person sitting next to the was paid $7.50 an hour more then he was

Title pretty much says it all but a bit of background. I worked for a company and one day found out they were doing dodge stuff, biggest one was the were being audited by the tax department for not paying super (I’m in Australia and legally your employer has to contribute 9.5% of your pay to a retirement fund) so I decided enough was enough and quit, suggested a few others do the same. After about a month one of the guys who had been there over 10 years found a printout of everyone’s pays left on a printer (I’m sure someone’s in big trouble for that) and noticed that the guy he shared an office with and did the same job as was being paid $7.50 and hour more, even when he asked for a pay rise a few months earlier was told they couldn’t do more than $2…

This company does pay well, don’t get me wrong, but they are also shady and a lot of shit comes with it, glad I’m out and so is he.
