Meant to write this last night but I used to work at a department store, and he was shot to death right after his shift as the store was closing. Idk if it was an attempted robbery but he was a young man, pushing carts back into the store. He was always quiet and chill at work and didn’t seem to bother anyone. Now his life is gone, just like that. If I was still working there, I would’ve been working that day and it’s so surreal. He was making only 11/hr and they most likely put his job up for advertising before the body could get cold. If you’re working in a sketchy neighborhood, please be careful of your surroundings or try to work/live somewhere safer. Easier said than done but I left that job three weeks ago and am starting my new job with better pay and a gated environment, next week. These jobs don’t care for you, you’re seen as disposable income and they’re quick to get another body to fill your space
