I work in IT and recently went through an interview and succeeded. I received a message prompting me to apply to a new custom posting for skills and that I would be hired regardless of its public nature as I've already been interviewed. The new job altered the title in some basic way as if it was a new postion. This posting was on all your general job boards (indeed, zip, etc). I couldn't help but remember applying to this exact postion years ago and feeling rejected for not succeeding. Keep in mind when you apply that they might not actually be looking.
