So I'm 26 (using a throw away account) and have an audio visual job. I make 50k a year and feel like there is no mobility in my company. I've been trying to get a job elsewhere because my finances are tight due to inflation 120k student debt, rent, etc. I feel like I've made an unwise choice by going to college but at the same time I feel like college should be free. Not to mention wages are stagnant. It's so embarrassing because I feel like a lot of my friends make a good amount without much debt and I am always struggling to go out with them because of lack of funds. It's very stressful. I don't even understand how people can survive on less than 50k a year and a lot of folks do. Do you think there is any hope for people like us in the future? Do you think there will be pay increases for everyone within the next few years? Or will we just flounder? I feel like something has got to give.
