Any ideas how I approach this situation?
I don’t want to burn bridges but I have my business to think about.
I work salaried for an estate agents mon-Fri 9-5. My boss bought a restaurant recently and has decided I will shoot the food for menu items and website use, which I wasn’t consulted on.
How do I politely refuse to do it on work time considering they could make it difficult for me at work if I do?
I run my own photography biz in my spare time and would happily charge a client upwards of £1k if they came to me with the job. I know my boss won’t pay that.
Help, I’ve been ‘booked in’ for the food shoot today. I don’t have lights or props with me and it feels like it’ll be half assed. This will make me look bad as a photographer.
