Feeling pressure to have a “growth mindset” in a job that’s just a job to me.

I have been in the same position at the same company for just over three years and I genuinely like what I do and I always strive to do it well. The work is simple yet challenging enough that I feel like I can go on auto pilot all day with a few new challenging tasks thrown in here and there. My employers made it clear that they want all staff to be actively working towards professional development with the intention of eventually seeking a promotion and moving up within the company. But I don’t want a promotion. I would happily do the work I do now for the rest of my life. I feel lazy for saying that I’m not looking to develop myself professionally as I feel that being promoted would impact my work-life balance and I’d rather my energy go towards my personal life goals instead of…

Is this wrong of me? How do I get my employers to understand that I’m not looking to be promoted without sounding lazy?

TL;DR feeling pressure from employers to develop my career but I like where I’m at, how do I get them to leave me be?
