Hi,
I'm a 23-year old woman who is struggling to choose between two jobs. I graduated from university in January of this year. I have been searching since then for a job as a writer/editor. However, the process of searching for jobs, switching jobs, and being rejected has taken a toll on my mental health.
Now, I'm working in a café close to home and babysitting on the side. I really love my job in the café. The people are nice, I get to make coffee, and it's an easygoing work environment. The boss is also a very nice guy. It has helped my mental health so much. My panic attacks and anxiety have improved so much while working here and it is a good proper break for me after years of studying.
However, I'm also interviewing for a position as an editor of a large digital magazine. This job pays way more and could allow me to be financially independent. But the work is mostly remote and that has been really hard on me in the past.
I also really don't enjoy the content that I would be working on (sponsored and advertisements). In general, I haven't felt like writing for a company or a magazine in a very long time. I just don't believe in the work much anymore. I feel much more content when I only write for myself or as a freelancer.
I have no idea what to do. If anyone has any advice on how to make a big decision like this I'm all ears.
