Finally did it!

So, after this and that I finally quit my shitty 54 hours/week + expected 24/7 availability retail job, I actually resigned. Went to the specific store the chain supervisor was on during my day off which was today and handed him both my keys and my freshly washed uniforms. He immediately lashed out at me and said I was being unprofessional, which might be true, but I genuinenly believe they have not earned the courtesy of a proper notice given how things were going, but I decided to be the bigger man and just thank everyone for their time and investment in me, which caught him off guard because his demeanor definitely shifted towards a semblance of empathy. Did not say anything about all the shit I got from owner, did not complain or pushed anything else, I just did not see the point of it anymore. Just relief, I guess.

I did block the owner incase he tried to get back at me though, would probably get nasty.

Know what the best part is? I actually have a whole other job landed already: as an HR analyst for a recruitment firm.

I know this sub is not fond of monday-friday, 9-to-5 jobs, but to me it feels like a dream come true after so many years in retail, It honestly feels like I'm getting my life back and I'm finally putting my degree to good use.

Will not start until next week, so I'm looking forward to resting a bit, play some games, finally ask that girl out since I have the time for dating now, probably… life is, good, I guess?
