So, last time I was on here I was a security guard (14/hr no benefits and dangerous to the point of breaking bones) with a shitty boss that would demand my time even when I was sick and yell at me for what amounts to a disability. My new job is as an account executive at a financial firm doing sales. My base pay is 16$ an hour with a pay bump at then end of three months to 18 an hour. I also make commission! They treat me really well, have excellent benefits, unlimited bathroom breaks, a really great kitchen with unlimited coffee.
If you work during your lunch they will buy you any kind of food you want and you get paid for it I also get paid time and half on weekends. If you don't feel well they don't punish you for leaving early. I'm still in training but my boss has actually been just adding my hours back in from when my fellow trainee got me sick and landed me in the ER. I even get hour lunches and 30min's of floating break time. They also give you tons of hours for sick and vacation time. The average pay with commission is about 20+ with some making 25/hour without a college degree.
Go after what you are worth and dont accept anything less. You have the power over the employer not the other way around.
