A while ago I posted about my contract finally being handed to me 2 years late with a job title that vastly under represented my role and responsibilities up to that point. After posting (and calming down a bit) the job hunt began and has finally come to a close!
I called my boss (Company owner) on Friday to say that I was interviewing for a position with another company, so was letting him know out of professional courtesy that I may be handing my notice soon. He just said “Ok” and that was it.
Long story short, I was offered the job on Friday night and messaged the boss first thing on Monday to say I had got it and would be emailing my notice across shortly. He immediately calls me and opens with “It's probably for the best. I know we haven't had a supervision session (1-2-1) for a while but the feedback I've had from other staff is that you don't want to be there.” How the hell was I supposed to react to that?!
Anyway, can't wait for the new role to start, plus it comes with a ~20% pay bump. Can. Not. Wait!!
