After enduring straight up verbal/emotional abuse, disgusting lowballing of salary, unfair/unequal treatment, and a bs “disciplinary meeting,” I have submitted my resignation effective immediately citing illness. I already had a couple medical conditions, but I contracted COVID last year from a manager that went to a COVID hotspot and did not quarantine before returning to work. (I can absolutely prove I got it from work) And that led to long COVID, which, if anyone has experienced it, is f-ing brutal. But now I'm free. Taking a day or 2 to rest because that job sucked the life out of me, and then back into the job search I go.
