After years of working a job I loved under terrible/toxic conditions I finally resigned after accepting another position (the postion is much more $$, unionized, less work, has an actual HR department & is overall better).
Another one of the reasons I decided to leave the position was because I became really sick (crohns) and was not given adequate accommodations. I submitted my resignation letter last week and within 15 minutes of submitting the letter they had already contacted the company that provides our health benefits and removed me from the company plan .
I'm in Canada & I'm also still under my partners benefits so thankfully I'll still be able to afford my treatments in the interim, but holy shit my old workplace fucking sucks.
