Find a job you love and you’ll never work again?!?

I keep seeing this over and over. Seriously wake up people. There are 168 hours in a week. Most people will only actually work about 32 to be full time. Yeah you clock 40 but there are holidays pto and so on. 168-32 leaves you 136 hours. Lets give you 8 hours of beauty rest each day so 8*7=56. 136-56= 80 hours. That 80 hours is your non sleeping non working time every week. So if your job that you work 32h/wk avg allows you to enjoy your 80hr/week nothing but you time… take the job already! Being “miserable” for 32hrs/wk to have 80 wonderful hours/wk is a small price to pay. Many of you out there “love” your job but it pays shit so your 80 hours to yourself sucks cuz you cant afford to do anything. If you can find a job you love that also afford you…

If you can find a job you love that also afford you the ability to enjoy your off time the way you want, you wouldn’t be on this forum.

Do yourself a favor, put some common sense and logic into career choice. You don’t have to love your job just love what it allows you to do on YOUR time.

For those that want to criticize this advice and spew outlier cases or talk about how I didn’t address commuting to work time and so on I ask this- Why are you here? Why are you so miserable? How will criticizing me actually benefit you? These are actually rhetorical questions for you to really think on your answers…

Todays youth are so stuck on thinking they have to go to college to be successful, that they have to love their job to be happy, that they must not have to work hard and sacrifice to get ahead, that they are entitled to nice things without having to budget for them.

Change your beliefs and you will quickly find all this depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, desperation, and hopelessness will vanish.
