Fired from job after missing a couple of days due to Covid.

So basically I was working at Goodwill for $15/hour in canada (min wage). And I got covid while on the job probably bc some of the clothes I was sorting had it idk tbh. But abt 5 days ago I called in sick and said I tested positive for covid, they said this was okay and then said to call back when I feel better. I was going to call back today but I opened my email and found an email from my manager saying that I had been let go because of “missing too many days”. Like did I not literally say I have covid you idiot. They also treat their workers like shit anyways like micromanaging, expecting me to hang like 100 clothes per hour when I was only like 2 days on the job. Etc etc. I was just wondering is this standard practice for letting people…

If they cared so much abt me coming in they could have literally called me first instead of abrubtly letting me go. I have more interviews lined up that are closer and pay better starting tmrw but damn wtf thank god I was job searching before they randomly let me go.
