About 2 months ago I was fired for safety reasons. I had worked for the store for nearly 5 years with no incidents. I worked in the city but about a year ago I transferred to a store closer to my hometown to be near family again. Moving to the store I immediately started experiencing pushback from the staff while trying to get the store to cleanliness standards. (I was a SSV) After a couple of months I found my place in the store while still trying to make changes. I think it's also worth noting I was in the process of trying to unionize the store and (stupidly) was very vocal about it. One day my SM pulled me aside to discuss an incident that had occurred about a month prior. She told me that she's in talks with PCC and the DM to see next steps but that it would likely end with my termination. After about a week when I walked in to start my shift she pulled me aside and told me I was being separated. I have a problem with the decision because there was another partner that had multiple sexual assault cases made on him that Starbucks repeatedly pushed under the rug. I am seeking legal counsel as I strongly feel this was a thinly veiled union busting tactic. With the rise in Starbucks union busting int he media however I was wondering if anyone had any advice on next steps.
