This just happened to my mom and I'm looking for advice.
So my mom just found out Friday, 4/8 that she was being fired for not meeting “performance expectations” prior to the 90 probation. She was working for a particular doctor on 4/5 that blew up at her over something minor.
On Friday, they gave her a letter that was dated 4/5 saying she was being terminated that day but didn't receive it till 4/8.
My moms probationary period was over on 4/10 and she was supposed to receive her additional $250 sign on bonus. My mom has had great reviews and feed back from the other doctors so this has come as a complete surprise.
I'm having her file unemployment but I just found this insanely suspicious. They did not give her final check and are issuing it via direct deposit. Any advice?
