I got hired exactly three months ago by a film hardware company as a digital designer. I let them know when I started the job that this was my first job and wasn’t very skilled which they didn’t have a problem with. I had to learn everything from scratch and on my monthly reviews nothing but positive things “always on time” “pleasure to work with” there was sometimes a “needs to work on this area” but other than that great.
I took on extra rolls while getting paid minimum for example cooding. No issues i learned it and did it.
Today I went into work and they told me they had to let me go because I was “under skilled for the job” when I let them know that I had made them swear prior to hiring me all they said was “this was a collective decision” they couldn’t even look me in the face while telling me. What I found strange was that this was before they could start my full benefits.
What a waste of time.
